Position Summary:

We are seeking an Electrical BIM Coordinator/Engineer to support the modeling, coordination, and engineering of electrical construction projects. Working with Senior Engineering Staff, Project Managers, Field Personnel, Consultants, and other trades, this position will develop coordinated, constructible drawings that support efficient field installation.

Essential Responsibilities:

Develop and support detailed Revit models for electrical project deliverables.
Coordinate electrical systems with architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and other trade models.
Prepare layouts, details, sections, one-line diagrams, panel schedules, and equipment drawings for electrical systems including (power, grounding, lighting, fire alarm, communications and low-voltage systems).
Review contract drawings and specifications in accordance with applicable codes, design revisions, and client requirements.
Assist with electrical calculations including load, voltage drop, conductor sizing, and ampacity.
Assist in coordination meetings, model reviews, and resolution of installation conflicts.
Support the Engineering and Project Management teams with submittals, schedules, RFIs, material takeoffs, equipment information and field revisions.
Conduct detailed on-site surveys to evaluate existing infrastructure, streamline field installations, and optimize project planning.
Maintain project documentation, drawings, coordination logs, meeting records, and as-built documentation.
Perform quality-control reviews and follow project BIM and drafting standards.
Assist with project closeout including (As-Built drawings, commissioning and closeout documentation.)

Qualifications:

Minimum three years of experience in electrical engineering, BIM coordination, electrical drafting, or a related construction role.
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar field strongly preferred. High school diploma or equivalent Is required.
Working knowledge of electrical systems including power, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, life-safety, communications, and low-voltage systems.
General understanding of the National Electrical Code, NFPA standards, and common electrical construction practices.
Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, including (electrical modeling, coordination in a 3D environment and production of shop drawings, details and sketches.) Plus Navisworks, AutoCAD, Autodesk Forma (formerly ACC), Bluebeam, Procore and Microsoft Office Products.
Ability to read and interpret electrical and multidisciplinary construction documents.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage fast paced environments and multiple tasks with strong attention to detail.
Work effectively with office and field teams.
